Brief Explanation

The website you're viewing (briankong.xyz) is hosted on a cloud server (IaaS) located in Australia. The server runs Ubuntu and is managed by me, with the domain properly connected. SSL is enabled using OpenSSL. This main page was designed with Copilot.

I built this site not just as a technical exercise, but as a personal canvas — a place to explore, experiment, and express. Every line of code reflects my curiosity and drive to learn. Whether it's refining the backend, managing code history with Git, or crafting the front-end experience, I’m always chasing better ways to build and share.

My Journey in Software Development

My interest in programming began during my middle school years in South Korea, and I started professional Software Development immediately upon graduating from high school. After relocating to New Zealand, I completed a double major (Bachelor of Computer Science and Software Development) at AUT University. I have continued to work as a Software Developer ever since, which has been a great source of enjoyment.

Having experience working in organizations ranging from small, 10-person small company to large, 5,000-person enterprises, I approach new challenges with deep confidence. Most recently, my role has focused on AI and API-driven Chatbots and Voicebots. My interest in Artificial Intelligence is long-standing, predating the widespread emergence of LLMs. Beyond AI, I enjoy and have experience with server-side programming, encompassing Back-end logic, DBA, and API server development. I also have an interest in Security and Front-end development, and I'm ready to take on those tasks when directed.
